Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers see cycling from a fresh angle, whether the subject is a bicycle design choice, a riding habit, the shape of a journey or a piece of cycling history.
What makes a strong pitch
Start with the question your piece will answer and the reader who would care about it. Explain the central idea, why it suits Open Cycling Review and what makes it distinct from familiar cycling coverage. A useful pitch has a clear scope, a specific point of view and a plan for explaining any specialist terms without making readers work for the basics.
Keep the idea grounded
We favour evergreen stories that remain useful without relying on a passing trend, unsupported claims or the promise of personal testing. Tell us what sources, experience or examples the piece would draw on, and flag any safety-sensitive or technically complex subject early. Do not send confidential information or material you do not have permission to share.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page to send a short pitch, a brief outline and a note about your relevant experience. Please do not submit a complete article unless we have agreed to consider one. A proposal is not a guarantee of publication, and we will discuss scope and terms before any commissioned work.
A good ride begins with noticing
Cycling is a craft, a design story and a way of seeing places. We make room for all three, one clear question at a time.
